While working for Communications Strategy Group, I also had the opportunity to create conference collateral for the client Nova Healthcare Administrators.
Nova is a third party administrator that supports employer’s in managing and providing affordable and customizable employee benefits plans.
Nova’s website is linked below for reference:
Tabletop Banner and Table Throw
With a printer already determined by the client, they provided me with the size and bleed specifications for each collateral piece. Along with the finalized print files, I also provided the clients with mockups of what the collateral I designed would look like. All files were packaged and provided to the printer for reference as well.
Nova’s brand features primary, secondary and tertiary color palettes to work with. A wide array of their branded materials use these colors in eye-catching gradients. I incorporated gradient usage, along with primary colors and secondary colors from their brand guide to all their conference collateral.
On the tabletop banner in particular it was important to consider how the copy would be laid out and the amount of space I had to work with. I think the simple layout of copy over the gradient background was imperative to ensure the prime focus was the message. The floor display, in comparison, would feature a photo along with the copy and gradient.
The conference floor display was designed to have the gradient go across each panel, with copy on the right and left panels and an eye catching image in the middle. Again, I determined where the provided copy would be laid out as well as where imagery would be appropriate. I believe the set up of the image in the middle along with supporting text on the sides was effective at capturing the audiences attention. I also believe the usage of Nova’s orange overlayed atop the image would effectively keep the entire floor display consistent and also stand out as unique to the Nova brand.
